I got to spend the day with my best friend Alyssa today. It was so nice, because I hardly ever get to see her anymore. In high school we were together every singe day. So we miss each other, and it’s harder to stay in touch now because of that. Anyway, I am so happy I got to see her. I can not wait until I get my license. The girl really doesn’t have good friends at school and she’s just not happy. It kills me. I can’t wait until I can go visit her.
Today we went to Township Elementary to visit Ellie, the braille transcriber that did all of Alyssa’s transcribing in high school. We spent so so many hours in Ellie’s office in back then when she had an office in ROyal’s library. She was really happy to see us, and to finally meet Alyssa’s guide dog, January. She actually took this picture of us today. Ellie is going to start teaching me braille again. I’m going to get my license and go to Township and help out in the braille room more often, and learn more from Ellie. It will be so so beneficial, since I do want to be a braille teacher.
To be completely honest, I actually really miss the high school days. Alyss and I were just talking about that today. Times were so much simpler, life was easier, less stressful, and all of our friends were around. In all honesty, I hardly know anyone from high school anymore. I used to have so many friends, after college started, we all seemed to grow apart. I’m really only close to like three people right now, Victoria, Alyssa, and my boyfriend Alex. I love those three people more than anything though. Please don’t get me wrong there. But I do miss my old friends too. I really, really do miss those days. Not to mention, the future looked brighter then.. Friends and a bright future. What more could a girl ask for?
